Got Game?
The Lord GOD Almighty surely has gone before us and prepared hearts to receive His message at our first wild game dinner--WE are all so blessed! That the Creator of the universe chose men and women from HBC to provide wild game meat and the fixings for outdoor enthusiasts was obvious. But, the Lord had greater plans. The gospel was presented through an obedient South Carolina Bass Fisherman that truly was example of a fishers of men. The word of God went out and souls were saved. Isn't that what is all about? We need to CONTINUE to encourage one another to serve and witness to those that are poor in the Spirit. What next? Well, let us go back to His feet in prayer seeking in unity asking for His will to be done through our obedience in us or we will fail.
And Jesus

Revival is Coming Sooner Than You Think!
As many of you know, our recent subject of study in the Tuesday night bible study has been Revival. We just found out that Frenchtown Missionary Baptist is having a revival next Tuesday, 11/25. Coincidence?? I think not. Please join us there next week and bring your friends and family along, to listen to Pastor Larry Head of Lakeside Baptist Church!. We will not be meeting at Panera next week because of the revival. Be there or be square!
The election is over...Now What?
Yes, I stole the last part of my title from Pastor Duane's sermon title
from last Sunday - guilty as charged. With the election over, many of
us may be having conflicted feelings. Well, the country has spoken and
we will have a new president come
January 20, 2009 (we knew that anyway, right??). Whether we like the
choice the American
people have made or not, is now a moot point. The Bible commands us to
submit
to our leaders, and that includes those who we may not agree with. Let
us all pray that President Elect Obama will govern with fair-minded
principles and according to God's will. Let us pray that he has left
behind his socialistic views and radical associations on the campaign
trail. Let us pray that he will appoint Supreme Court justices who
will
interpret the Constitution as it was written, and not legislate from
the bench. And finally, when all else fails, let us pray that God would
have mercy on this
great country.
I urge you, my brothers, to pray for our new president and also pray
for us to accept what is. Maybe this is the wake-up call that this
nation needs, or perhaps this is God's judgment - only time will tell.
But one thing is sure - GOD IS IN CONTROL!

What a blessing that our Lord is allowing us to use technology to further advance His Kingdom work through the body of Christ here at Heritage Baptist Church in Monroe Michigan. Let us continue to serve Him in His will as we carry our cross may the name of Jesus be glorified and Honored. Let us reach out to our community with an "OLD FASHION REVIVAL" if and when He goes out before us. It is all about Jesus is it not?
